The second half was disastrous for New Mexico. San Jose State scored six times in their first seven drives. This included two long touchdowns. They also capitalized on an interception for another score in a 24-0 third quarter. This resulted in a 52-17 loss for UNM, marking their 14th consecutive conference defeat.
