Kirtland Central, the No. 1 seed, delivered a dominant performance in the quarterfinals of the NMAA State Basketball Tournament, defeating No. 9 seed Lovington 68–25 on March 10 at The Pit. The Broncos controlled the game from the opening tip and never surrendered the lead, maintaining command for every minute of the contest.

Sophomore Allyson Tsosie and senior Haylee Nocki led the scoring effort with 24 points each, while junior Zoey Benally added 11 points to round out the balanced offensive attack.

Lovington was led by senior Ashelynn Borunda, who scored 16 points for the Wildcats.

With the decisive victory, Kirtland Central advances in the state tournament after a commanding performance on both ends of the floor.
