The girls class 5A one seed Hobbs Eagles took on the nine seed La Cueva Bears. The game was highly contested throughout the duration with Hobbs eventually solidifying their victory late in the fourth, 63-55.
8th grader, Xoey Ross, led the Eagles with 19 PTS. Junior, Kacelynn Muniez added 17 while shooting 50% from three (5-10). Sophomore, Kareli Rivera had 11 PTS, 5 REB, and 5 STL.
La Cueva seniors gave it their best effort. Jordyn Dyer had a 20 PT, 8 REB, and 6 AST stat line on the day. Sienna Tesinsky had 16 PTS
Hobbs moves on to face Albuquerque in the class 5A semifinals.
