The Highland Hornets and Portales Rams faced off in an NMAA boys class 4A quarterfinal. The Hornets pulled away in the fourth quarter to make the final 95-69.
Highland had three players that scored 20 or more PTS. Nico Sanchez led the way with 27 PTS and 8 REB while going a perfect 6-6 from the stripe. Juan Limas had 22 PTS and Jerry Moody had a double-double with 20 PTS and 12 REB.
With the win, Highland advances to the semi-finals to face the winner of the Taos vs Del Norte match up.
